Sanriku Railway Rias Line (163km between Kuji and Mori) opens
Sanriku Railway Rias Line opens
On March 23, 2019, the JR Yamada Line between Miyako and Kamaishi, which had been severely damaged and closed in the Great East Japan Earthquake, was transferred to Sanriku Railway Co., Ltd. and re-opened as the Sanriku Railway Rias Line, the longest third-sector line in Japan, connecting Kuji (Kuji City) and Sakari (Ofunato City) at 163 km.

After the earthquake, we at Della Co., Ltd. launched the "Here Comes Support Project" to provide support for those affected by the disaster.
During the support activities, I was deeply moved by the sight of the Sanriku Railway staff on the ground, working day by day without stopping to move forward with recovery and reconstruction.

We will continue to learn from this disaster the importance of life and bonds, and will do our best to help with the recovery by visiting this region and using the Sanriku Railway.
