New album information: "Seseragi - Symphony of a Clear Stream" to be released on December 13th
The latest work of nature sounds in about 30 years! "Seragi - Symphony of a Clear Stream" will be released on December 13th with all tracks newly recorded!
The second installment of the highly popular "Seseragi" series. All tracks are newly recorded, including on Yakushima Island and in the Shirakami Mountains.
A symphony of clear streams that nurture life. The refreshing sound of the water cleanses the soul... A gift from the sky and the earth, the murmur of the Reiwa era reverberates throughout the area.
The popular Dela nature sound series, "Nature Sound Gallery."
This time, all tracks were newly recorded between 2021 and 2023, approximately 30 years after the first Seseragi was released in 1994.
The precious sounds of water in Japan, such as those found in the World Heritage Sites Shirakami-Sanchi and Yakushima, are recorded with a high level of realism using Dela's original microphones. Perfect for yoga, meditation, or relaxing before waking.
[Track List]
1. Late Summer Stream - Shirakami-Sanchi, Anmon River (Aomori Prefecture) - approx. 11 minutes Anmon River is a tributary of the Iwaki River, a first-class river representative of Tsugaru, and flows through the Shirakami-Sanchi World Heritage Site. The clear stream, polished by the forest, sparkles in the slanting afternoon light. In the shade of the trees, small birds are chatting as if reminiscing about the hot summer.
2. Whispering Water - Okama Benzaiten Road, Ninoashizawa (Kanagawa Prefecture) - Approximately 9 minutes Located in Nanasawa, Atsugi City, Ninoashizawa is part of the Oyama mountain range. I encountered a small stream flowing alongside the approach to Benzaiten, a shrine dedicated to praying for rain for the area. While not a well-known stream, it seemed to gently whisper the ancient history of people and water.
3. A Valley Running Through the Forest - Yakushima, Miyanouradake National Forest (Kagoshima Prefecture) - Approx. 11 min. Yakushima is an island with a lot of rain, so much so that wandering author Fumiko Hayashi wrote in her novel "Floating Clouds" that "it rains 35 days a month." It had rained the day before the recording, too. When it rains, streams form everywhere. The water flows from Miyanouradake, Kyushu's highest peak, rising steeply from sea level, through the granite rocks and back into the sea.
4. Clear Stream Sounds - Oirase Gorge, Yorosawa (Aomori Prefecture) - Approximately 9 minutes. The sound of water is full of air and full of body. The gentle, rich stream meanders through the trees in the upper reaches of Yorosawa, which forms the famous Kumoi Falls, a waterfall that flows into the Oirase Gorge. The piles of fallen leaves seem to be sleeping on the swaying water's surface as pillows.
5. Sumimei no Izumi ~ Yakushima, Ohkabu Trail (Kagoshima Prefecture) - approx. 10 minutes Wilson Stump is a huge Yakusugi stump. A tiny stream flows into the nameless spring nearby. The sound of the water is so faint that no one would notice it, making a delightful contrast with the sounds of the forest. In the latter half of the walk, you can hear the sounds of wrens singing of the new greenery of spring, creating a truly charming forest experience.
6. Morning Stream and Small Birds - Shidareguri Forest, Tatsuno Town (Nagano Prefecture) - approx. 7 minutes This morning scene was encountered in a large open space in the forest on the shores of Lake Suwa. The distinctive echoing sound of the water and the silky sound of it flowing between small pebbles are beautiful. Drawn by the lively singing, I looked up into the trees and saw a variety of birds celebrating the beginning of summer.
