Now is your chance to get into "detox mode"! Detox with aromatherapy to kick off spring

As winter comes to an end, when metabolic activity is low and energy is being stored, the metabolic activity of both animals and plants increases, and waste products that have accumulated in the body begin to be actively excreted. This can cause ailments such as acne and fatigue. In other words, early spring is the time when detoxification increases.

Early spring detoxification is a great time to promote detoxification and purify the body. It is also considered an ideal time to improve your constitution and can also help prevent allergies such as pollen. We will teach you an aromatherapy detox method that will cleanse your body from the inside out and allow you to enjoy spring in a lighter body and mind.

What is detox?

The word "detox" originally comes from the English words "detoxification" and "detoxicate." It refers to the process of expelling excess substances in the body, such as waste products produced during metabolism, from the body.

Calling it poisonous may seem like an exaggeration, but we unknowingly take in things that could be called poisons, such as air pollution, food additives, and environmental hormones. The original purpose of detoxing is to expel these harmful substances from the body.

This time, we will be suggesting ways to live a healthy life every day, with the aim of detoxifying for beauty and refreshment.

If you experience these symptoms in early spring, we recommend detox aromatherapy.

・Feeling a bit tired
・I feel a bit gloomy
・I don't feel refreshed even after sleeping, and I just can't seem to get rid of my fatigue.
Poor skin condition

The key is to feel "somehow." If you feel clearly and seriously unwell, see a doctor. Detoxing improves blood circulation and lymphatic flow, and increases metabolism. Improved circulation in the body increases nutrient absorption, and can also help prevent aging and improve skin condition.

Aromatherapy supports the detoxification organs

The body's detoxification systems include the liver, kidneys, large intestine, and skin. By supporting these functions, it promotes the body's purification.

<Three Approaches>

1. Diuretic effect for detoxification

To reduce swelling, it's important to get rid of excess fluids from your body. We recommend aromatherapy treatments using essential oils that have a diuretic effect.

・1 tablespoon of jojoba oil
・1 drop of essential oil

Mix the ingredients thoroughly and massage the areas of your body that you are concerned about with a comfortable amount of pressure. Feel free to do it your own way, but you can look forward to the effects of the oil. Rub so that the oil penetrates.
Don't overthink it, the important thing is to keep doing it. Try doing it twice a week, maybe on the weekend and on Sunday.

2. Detox by sweating

Warming the body is said to be good for detoxing. As the temperature rises, you'll want to sweat it out in the bathtub instead of just taking a shower. We recommend using bath salts that promote sweating.

・3 tablespoons of natural salt
・1 to 2 drops of essential oil

Mix the two ingredients well and you're done. Make only the amount you need each time. If it doesn't suit your skin, discontinue use.

3. Relaxation is also important for constipation!

Constipation is the most toxic thing you can experience. Gas buildup and slow bowel movements can lead to breakouts, loss of appetite, and a bad mood.

Constipation is closely related to lifestyle habits such as diet, sleep, and exercise, but the function of the large intestine is originally controlled by the autonomic nervous system. Therefore, mental stress is bad for comfortable bowel movements. Try to relax with aromatherapy. Relaxation stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which activates the movement of the large intestine.

Put a drop of essential oil on a cotton ball and carry it in your bag or keep it by your bedside while you rest. The scent stimulates the brain and autonomic nervous system.

You may be wondering, "Just the scent?", but there are quite a few people who have bowel movements after smelling the scent of essential oils. Furthermore, if possible, it is a good idea to receive an aroma treatment from an aromatherapist. Many of my clients always feel the need to go to the toilet after a treatment. I think it is good to relax the whole body.

Recommended essential oils for detox aromatherapy

This essential oil aids in the body's detoxification abilities.
All oils except grapefruit can be used in any of the aromatherapy methods listed above. Grapefruit is best used to enjoy the scent with cotton balls. Aromatherapy treatment oils and bath salts can cause skin irritation, so we don't recommend them.

Juniper Berry: A woody, astringent scent. It is said to have excellent diuretic and sweat-inducing properties.
・Rosemary: A refreshing, sharp herbal scent that warms the body and stimulates the brain.
・Grapefruit: A familiar citrus scent. Its fresh and slightly bitter aroma is popular.
Sweet Marjoram: A slightly spicy and slightly sweet herbal scent. It is said to warm the body.
German Chamomile: A herbal scent with a hint of fruitiness. It is said to have anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties.

You can use one essential oil or a mixture of two.
If the scent does not suit you or if you experience any skin irritation, discontinue use.
