The secret lies in the morning!
How to make getting your baby to sleep much easier
I'm sure there are many moms and dads who try hard to get their babies to sleep every night, knowing that they shouldn't let their babies stay up late.
However, even if you put your baby to bed and tell them it's time to sleep, and even if you gently pat their back, they still won't fall asleep as easily as you'd like.
But actually, there is a very simple way to make putting your baby to sleep much easier...or rather, to make your baby fall asleep easily at night.

Until 3-4 months of age, follow your baby's rhythm.
However, you can only try this once your baby is 3-4 months old. This is because babies under 4 months old don't know the difference between day and night, so they sleep and wake up every few hours, and their stomachs are very small, so it's inevitable that they will need to be fed every time they wake up.
At this stage, it's okay not to worry about getting your baby to sleep at a set time at night. If possible, it would be good for you to take naps at a time that suits your baby and make up for any sleep you may have missed.
The biological clock is regulated, starting around 4 months of age
It is said that a baby's internal clock starts to work around four months of age, so it's around this time that you should start being conscious of not staying up late at night.
I want to start in the morning, not at night.
■Wake them up at a set time in the morning
At that time, it is important to open the curtains to brighten the room and let in the morning sunlight.
When humans wake up in the morning and are exposed to the morning sun, the sleep hormone "melatonin" is secreted 14 to 16 hours later, making us feel sleepy.
First, get into the habit of waking up at a set time in the morning to help get this mechanism started in your baby's brain.
It may be a little painful for a mother to wake up a sleeping baby.
There are probably many things you want to get done while your baby is sleeping.
However, getting into the habit of waking up at the same time every morning is an important first step in establishing a regular routine.
Once you have a regular routine, life will become much easier for both you and your baby, as it will be easier to plan your schedule.
■ Take your afternoon nap early
Babies need much more sleep than adults, so in addition to nighttime sleep, naps are essential for toddlers. Young babies usually take two naps a day, in the morning and afternoon, and as they get a little older, they often take one nap in the afternoon.
Be careful not to move your afternoon nap into the evening, as this can make it difficult for your child to fall asleep at night.
For this reason, it is best to go for walks or shopping in the morning.
As your child grows, it is recommended that you take them to parks, libraries, and children's centers.
By being active in the morning, your child will naturally become sleepy after lunch, which will help create a regular daily rhythm for infants and toddlers.
Help your baby fall asleep rather than just putting them to sleep at night
Once your baby has a regular morning to evening routine, they will naturally become sleepy at night. All you need to do is give them a little help so they can fall asleep peacefully.
■ Take a bath 1-2 hours before going to bed
The sleep hormone "melatonin" lowers body temperature and induces sleep. To avoid interfering with this process, it is said that it is best to take a bath at least 1-2 hours before going to bed, rather than right before.
■ Dim the room to reduce light stimulation
Light stimuli from fluorescent lights and televisions suppress the secretion of the sleep hormone melatonin.
If possible, it is better to dim the room and keep it quiet by switching to indirect lighting for 1-2 hours before going to sleep.
Have you ever found yourself checking your smartphone next to your baby's bed because they won't fall asleep? The blue light from smartphones can be very irritating, so try to avoid it.
■ "Pretending to be asleep" increases your chances of success!?
When trying to get your baby to sleep, if you think, "When the baby falls asleep, do this and that," your baby will strangely never fall asleep.
The trick to getting your baby to sleep is for mom to be relaxed and calm. Pretending to be asleep or actually falling asleep with your baby will also increase your chances of success.
One option is to go to bed early with your baby at night, then get up earlier in the morning to do housework or enjoy some time for yourself before your baby wakes up.
■My eyes are bright and clear. There are days like that.
There are days when for some reason my baby just won't sleep at all tonight!
There are days when you're in a bad mood or when your daily routine is disrupted by going out.
In such cases, there is no need to try too hard to get your child to sleep.
Try turning on a small reading light and reading a book or listening to soothing music while waiting for your baby to fall asleep.
