Chairman of Yoyogi Sleep Care Clinic, Kinuwa Medical Corporation / Professor and Doctor of Medicine, Tokyo Medical University
Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Tokyo Medical University in 1982.
In 1986, he completed his doctoral studies at the Tottori University Graduate School of Medicine, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1987.
2007: Part-time professor of the Department of Psychiatry at Tokyo Medical University.
2008 Concurrent Professor, Department of Sleep Studies, Tokyo Medical University
In 2011, he became the chairman of Yoyogi Sleep Comprehensive Care Clinic, Kinuwa Medical Corporation. He is also a director of the Japanese Society of Sleep Research and the Japanese Society of Pharmacology and Electroencephalography.
His books include "Protecting the Sleep of the Elderly - Understanding and Responding to Sleep Disorders" (World Planning), "The Science of Insomnia" (Asakura Shoten), "I Have Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) and I Just Want to Move My Legs" (Alta Publishing), and "Can't Sleep...I'm Irritated...A Book to Read When Your Legs Are Restless" (Medical Tribune), among many others.
