The story begins with the fierce battle at Kawanakajima in the middle of the night on August 15th, 1561.
On the night of September 9th, Shingen divided his 20,000 troops into two groups, with 12,000 launching a night attack from the flank and rear, and the remaining 8,000 marching to Kawanakajima.
Kenshin realized the timing of the attack earlier, and leaving behind 1,000 soldiers, he crossed the Chikuma River in the mist of the dark night with 8,000 men and attacked Hachimanhara in Kawanakajima.
The fog cleared with the dawn, and it was time for the battle between Shingen and Kenshin.
