Suicide Prevention Month: We sponsored the "Mental Health Promotion 2013" seminar to promote mental health among workers.

We sponsored the seminar

On Monday, February 25, 2013, a mental health seminar for working people, "Thinking about Mental Health 2013," was held at the Asahi Shimbun Hama-Rikyu Small Hall.

Mental illness has been added to the four major diseases of cancer, stroke, acute myocardial infarction, and diabetes, making them the "five major diseases." The Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare has been deliberating in the Diet on amending the law to require companies to take measures to provide mental health care to their employees.

We at Della will continue to promote awareness of mental health music with the goal of encouraging many people to use music as part of their mental health efforts.

Report

On the day of the event, visitors began to arrive more than an hour before the lecture began, and once the doors opened, over 300 people showed up.

The seminar was held amid a high level of interest, starting with the keynote speech by Professor Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who focused on the autonomic nervous system and discussed the theme of "How to Live Your Best Life - What Should You Do Now? The Aesthetics of Defense."

Based on his past achievements, he spoke about what the "autonomic nervous system" is, its effects on the body, breathing techniques to prevent (reduce) imbalances between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, the importance of laughter, and more.

The audience erupted in laughter from time to time, and the keynote speech captivated the audience to the point that the moderator commented, "I think this keynote speech will help activate the parasympathetic nervous system."

After the keynote speech, a mini concert was held featuring three songs from our CD "Balance the Autonomic Nervous System: Mental Treatment for Mind and Body."

As soon as the performance began, the venue was enveloped in gentle melodies, and the atmosphere was so relaxing that some people were seen actually falling asleep.

Afterwards, various programs were held, including presentations by each company on their efforts to address mental health issues.

Thank you to everyone who came to the event.
