Occupational Safety and Health Lecture for Workers and Mental Health♪ Concert "Iya" held
Fuji City and Della hold healing seminar and concert aiming to achieve "Japan's best mental health for working people"

Della Co., Ltd., a healing label that is gentle on the mind and body, was requested by Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, one of Japan's leading industrial cities, to hold an occupational safety and health lecture for workers, "Mental Health♪Concert 'Healing'," on Thursday, September 13, 2012.
The number of suicides in Japan has exceeded 30,000 per year for 14 consecutive years.
In particular, the proportion of men in their 40s and 50s who are in the prime of their working lives is high, and the impact on society and families is significant, making it a social problem throughout the country.
Depression is a common factor in suicide, and it is said that sleep disorders such as "not being able to sleep" or "not feeling like I've slept" appear as a precursor to depression.
The first part of this event featured a seminar by experts on the relationship between depression and sleep and how to prevent depression. In the second part, participants were able to experience the mental care (therapeutic) effects of music while relieving everyday stress by listening to music that is believed to be effective in preventing depression and improving sleep disorders. This was the first such attempt of its kind in the country.
"Aiming to be the best in Japan for mental health among working people"
Fuji City, the organizer of the event, has adopted the slogan "Aiming to be the best in Japan for mental health among working people," and since 2006 has been carrying out a project (Fuji Model Project) to prevent depression by improving sleep.
As systems for the early detection and treatment of depression are being linked and launched, our company's program, which deals with sleep environment and music that affects mental aspects, was adopted, leading to this event.
We will continue to do our best to support local government initiatives by holding similar seminars and concerts across the country, however small our contribution may be.
